Shannon is a nurse practitioner in Nashville, TN with over 20 years of experience in heart failure. She currently works with Ascension St Thomas Comprehensive Heart Failure Program with a practice emphasis on managing heart failure patients in an outpatient setting consistent with current practice guidelines.
Shannon earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Berea College in 1995, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing from Murray State University in 2001 with a Family Nurse Practitioner specialty. She helped develop a local journal club in Nashville, TN for advanced practice providers and nurses that care for heart failure patients in 2006 that is still active today. Shannon is a CHFN and has been a member of AAHFN since 2003 and currently serves as chair of Together in Heart Failure Taskforce, member of the Heart Failure Patient Foundation Board, as well as, other committees in the past.
