Rebecca (Beki) Angerstein is currently the Manager in Abbott’s HF Medical Affairs division. She has an extensive clinical background that includes managing CV patients at the bedside and as an NP in both he inpatient and outpatient settings. Her current role involves engaging with health care providers to disseminate the science behind Abbott’s HF technologies. Ms. Angerstein is a member of multiple CV professional organizations some of which include the American College of Cardiology (ACC), American Association of Heart Failure Nurses (AAHFN), and the International Consortium of Circulatory Assist Clinicians (ICCAC). She is a fellow of the American Heart Association, a Fellow of the Heart Failure Society of America, and an Associate of the American College of Cardiology. She served on the Board of AAHFN and Chaired the Certification Committee where the inaugural certification exam was created. Ms Angerstein received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Akron. She earned a Master of Arts degree in community health education from Kent State University and a Master of Science degree in nursing as a CNS from the University of Akron. She also received a post-Masters degree as an ACNP. She earned her doctorate in nursing from Case Western Reserve University. She holds nursing certifications in both heart failure and cardiac-vascular nursing and as an ACNP.
