Dr. Michael Rinaldi MD

Dr. Rinaldi is an interventional cardiologist with the Sanger Heart and Vascular Institute (SHVI) / Atrium Health in Charlotte NC. He earned his medical degree from Cornell University and Internal Medicine residency and cardiology / interventional cardiology fellowships at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center / Harvard Medical School. He holds an appointment as Professor of Medicine with Wake Forest University. He has served as an investigator for more than 70 clinical trials and has authored or co-authored more than 200 publications and abstracts as well as hundreds of invited lectures nationally and internationally. He serves as Director of the Structural Heart Program for SHVI. His current research interests include trans-catheter mitral, aortic, tricuspid valve therapies, and LAAC including novel devices and techniques through clinical trials and original research.
