Krista Marz, BSN, RN, CCRN, VAD-C
Krista Marz is a Senior Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) Coordinator at Ochsner Health in New Orleans. She graduated from Charity School of Nursing December 1997 and then graduated with her Baccalaureate Degree in the Science of Nursing in 2019. Krista worked in the medical/surgical intensive care unit at Ochsner Health in New Orleans for 8.5 years before becoming a VAD Coordinator in 2006.
She has been a Certified Critical Care Nurse (CCRN) since 2004 and obtained her VAD Certification (VAD-C) in 2023. She is a member of (ICCAC) International Consortium of Circulatory Assist Clinicians, AACN (American Association of Critical Care Nurses), AAHFN (American Association of Heart Failure Nurse), ASAIO (American Society for Artificial Internal Organs), International Society Heart and Lung Transplant (ISHLT).
Krista is currently the President (2026) for ICCAC Board of Directors, past secretary for the ICCAC Board of Directors, past chair of the education committee and past chair for MCS Boot Camp for ICCAC. Krista has been a member of ICCAC since 2009 where she has participated on many different committees including mentor, education, research, peds task force, and public and regulatory policy.
