Jonathan G. Schwartz, MD, FACC, FSCAI is Medical Director of Interventional Cardiology at Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute/Atrium Health at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, where he practices as a structural interventional cardiologist. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine – Charlotte. Jonathan holds a degree from Northwestern University in Biomedical Engineering, and pursued training in Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Cardiology at the Stanford University School of Medicine. Additionally, he is an alum of the Stanford Byers Center for Biodesign Innovation Fellowship program. He completed a year of clinical training in advanced adult structural and congenital heart disease interventions at the Minneapolis Heart Institute. His primary clinical and research interests center around novel percutaneous and minimally invasive structural heart disease interventions, as well as device development and innovation. He serves as the clinical site primary investigator for multiple active clinical trials, and as a procedural proctor and advisory board member for multiple medical device companies.
