Dr. Skowronski is a cardiologist with clinical and research interests in both advanced heart failure & transplant cardiology and women’s cardiovascular disease. She is trained in heart failure and advanced therapies such as cardiac transplantation and LVAD and values the longterm relationship that this field allows her to build with her patients. She is the Director of Cardio-Obstetrics at UNC Chapel Hill and passionate about providing exceptional patient-centered cardiovascular care to women throughout the lifespan. She has particular expertise in cardio-obstetrics and contraception in cardiovascular disease, focused on the care of women with or at high risk for cardiovascular disease before, during, and after pregnancy.
