Janet Roman DNP, APRN, ACNP-BC, CHFN, ACHPN

Dr. Janet Roman, DNP, APRN, ACNP-BC, ACHPN, CHFN, FAAHFN, is an Associate Professor at the University of South Florida and the Lead Nurse Practitioner at the James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital. She is a clinician, educator, and national leader with expertise in heart failure, palliative care, health equity, and nursing leadership.

Her work improves outcomes for medically complex and underserved populations through innovative, collaborative, and culturally responsive care models. She has held executive clinical leadership roles directing large-scale cardiac and heart failure programs across hospice, homecare, and hospital systems, where her initiatives reduced hospitalizations and improved quality-of-life outcomes.

Dr. Roman is a respected scholar and speaker who has authored textbook chapters on heart failure pharmacology and culturally competent care. She has presented nationally on heart failure, inclusion, palliative care, and cardiovascular disparities. She serves in multiple leadership roles with the American Association of Heart Failure Nurses and is committed to advancing equitable care and preparing future nurse leaders.
