Jonathan Rich MD, FACC

Jonathan D. Rich, MD is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Northwestern University where he serves as the Program Director for the Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Fellowship. He specializes in the care of patients with heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, VADs and heart transplants.

Dr. Rich graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana with University Honors. He attended medical school at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York where he was elected to the AOA honor society. He then completed his internal medicine residency training at Harvard’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Finally, he completed his cardiovascular and advanced heart failure/transplant fellowship training at the University of Chicago where he also served as the Chief Cardiology Fellow.

Dr. Rich has published numerous manuscripts, reviews and book chapters and is regularly invited to lecture at national and international meetings. He has served on the Heart Failure Society of America’s (HFSA) Board of Directors and co-chairs the HFSA’s heart failure national board review course.
