Dr Lindenfeld has been involved in clinical and researchendeavors in heart failure for the past 30 years. She has been the principal investigator on 22 multicenter randomized trials of pharmacological and device therapy in heart failure and has served on the Steering Committees for a number of recent large clinical trials. She was the PI of the GUIDE-HF study--a trial expanding the role of hemodynamic monitoring to patients with less severe heart failure. She has had extensive experience as a both a member and a Chairperson of Data and Safety Monitoring Committees and Clinical Endpoint Committees. She was the Chair of the Heart Failure Society of America Clinical Guidelines for the 2006 and 2010 editions and was president of the Heart Failure Society of America. She moved to Vanderbilt to run the Heart Failure and Transplant Program and created the largest heart transplant program in the United States. She has served on the FDA CardioRenal and Cardiovascular Devices panel and authored more than 500 manuscripts and chapters.
