Julie works as an independent practitioner in the Device Clinic, providing evidenced based care to patients with cardiac implantable electronics devices (ICDs, Pacemakers, Biventricular systems and Loop Recorders) as well as arrhythmia-based care to patients with atrial fibrillation.

Julie’s passion is education, both clinician and patient focused. She is a well-known national and international speaker in her field and has authored numerous peer reviewed publications on device-based care and arrhythmia management. She has been an AP abstract reviewer for HRS for over 10 years. She is an active member of the Heart Rhythm Society (HRS) and has served as the Allied Professional Program Chair for HRS’ Annual Scientific Sessions, the Board of Trustees for 5 consecutive years and as the inaugural Chair of the AP Council. She has been a Fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society since 2008 and she received the prestigious Distinguished Allied Professional Award from the Heart Rhythm Society in 2019. She current serves on as the Chair for the Heart Rhythm Society's prestigious LEAP Program and is a correspondent for Heart Rhythm TV.
