Issac R. Whitman MD

Dr. Whitman trained in Cardiac Electrophysiology at University of California, San Francisco - there, he was exposed to the breadth of Cardiac Electrophysiology. Upon joining faculty at Temple University Hospital, he has taken an interest in cardiac implanted electronic devices, and has been the driving force behind bringing cardiac contractility modulation to Temple. This process has included collaboration with hospital administration, heart failure, and EP colleagues; management of insurance challenges; nuances to device implant; and perhaps most importantly, experience with patient interaction in discussing the risks and benefits of undergoing a procedure for a new and permanent cardiac device.
