Susheel K. Kodali, MD is the director of the Structural Heart & Valve Center at New York-Presbyterian and Columbia University Medical Center. He is also the Avanessians Associate Professor in Medicine at Columbia University. After obtaining a B.S. in Biology from Stanford University, he attended medical school at The University of California, Los Angeles. He subsequently did his residency and a fellowship program in clinical cardiology at the University of California, San Francisco, and a fellowship program in interventional cardiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center.

Since joining the faculty at Columbia University in 2004, he has focused his clinical and research activities in the arena of structural heart disease. He has authored multiple publications in the area of transcatheter aortic valve replacement including the initial studies describing the early experience with TAVR in the U.S. He has been the national PI for several TAVR studies including the Sapien 3 Intermediate-Risk study as well as the Sentinel study evaluating the role of embolic protection during TAVR. More recently, he has focused his research studies in the arena of transcatheter therapy for tricuspid valve disease. He has led the initial EFS studies for several potential therapies for tricuspid regurgitation and is currently the national Co-Principle Investigator for the TRISCEND study evaluating transcatheter tricuspid valve replacement.
