Tonya Elliott MSN, RN, CCTC, CHFN

Tonya Elliott is the Program Development Specialist at MedStar in Washington DC; a busy urban VAD program that supports 220 patients. She received her BSN from the SUNY Buffalo and her MSN from The Catholic University of America. Ms. Elliott started caring for advanced heart failure patients with ventricular assist devices in 1990 and has been part of the evolution of this community ever since. Ms. Elliott has contributed extensively to the VAD literature, specifically prehospital job aids and guidelines for community clinicians. She has also been an active member of AAHFN since 2005. She has been a member of the International Consortium of Circulatory Assist Clinicians (ICCAC) since 2008 .
