Rebecca Meraz, PhD, RN, CCRC, CHFN-K is an Assistant Professor at Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing, Dallas, TX. Dr. Meraz received her BSN and MSN from Baylor University in 1994 & 2005 and her PhD in nursing from Texas Woman's University in 2017. Dr. Meraz has 27 years of nursing experience which includes the cardiovascular ICU and 16 years as a cardiovascular clinical research nurse. Dr. Meraz began her teaching career in 2005 and has been at Baylor University since 2014.  Dr. Meraz is a certified heart failure nurse through the American Association of Heart Failure Nurses. She is active in the American Heart Association Nursing and Quality Care & Outcomes Research Councils. Dr. Meraz is also a nurse scientist consultant to Baylor Scott & White Heart and Vascular Hospital, Dallas, TX.
